Type locality and specimens. Australia, Queensland , Rockhampton (as Patria: Australia).
Dimensions. Länge des Körpers 45 mm, grösste Breite 1,4 mm [body 45 mm long, maximum width 1,4 mm].
Type material. Holotype ♀. AUSTRALIA: Queensland, Rockhampton [ca. 23°22’S, 150°30’E]. GoogleMaps
Old type catalogue: Weidner (1960), p. 62, No. 13. Holotype.
Collection remarks. The specimen was almost certainly collected by Amalie Dietrich in 1866 before she travelled to Mackay in 1887. The specimen comes from the Museum Godeffroy .
Additional remarks. The specimen was already missing in 1938 ( Weidner 1960).
Current systematic position. Geomerinus curtipes ( Haase, 1887) , transferred by Brölemann (1912: 66).
