Type locality and specimens. Habitat: Port Elizabeth, Dr. H. Brauns leg.

Dimensions. Pedum paria [leg pairs] ♀ 59–61. Long. corp. [body length] mm 25.

Type status. Silvestri (2007) did not specify the number of specimens in his original description and all specimens are syntypes.

Collection remarks. The specimens were collected by the German medical doctor and entomologist Hans Brauns (1857–1929).
