Type locality and specimens. Fundort [locality]: Quilpué (Dr. Michaelsen coll. 1♀.).

Dimensions. Länge [length] 40 mm, Breite [width] 1 mm. 67 Beinpaare [leg pairs] (1♀).

Type material. Holotype ♀ ( ZMH-A0000563 ). CHILE: Marga Marga Province , Quilpué [ca. 33°03’S, 71°27’W].

Preservation. 1 jar: Label 1. Eurytion moderatum Att. Typus Coll. Michaelsen 1893 Quilpue, Att. det.; Label 2. Geophilus (Eurytion) moderatus Att. Quilpue Michaelsen ; Label 3. Eurytion gracilis Gerv. col.

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 62, No. 20. Holotype ♀.

Collection remarks. This specimen was collected by Wilhelm Michaelsen during his expedition to the southern tip of South America 1892–93.

Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Plateurytion gracilis (Gervais, 1849) according to Silvestri (1905: 762).
