Type locality and specimens. An Farnwurzeln aus N.- Amerika [on fern roots from North America] (1♀) .

Dimensions. Länge ohne Analbeine [length without ultimate legs] 24 mm. mit Analbeinen [with ultimate legs] 32 mm. Breite [width] 3 mm.

Old type catalogue. Weidner (1960), p. 72, No. 4. Holotype.

Collection remarks. Weidner (1960: 72) noted that the specimen was imported alive to Hamburg. It was found on fern roots.

Current systematic position. Junior synonym of Bothropolys multidentatus (Newport, 1845) View in CoL according to Eason (1985: 3).
