Callidium annulare Fabricius, 1787: 156 View in CoL .

Chlorophorus annularis View in CoL ; Aurivillius, 1912: 402.

Callidium bidens Weber, 1801: 90 View in CoL .

Remarks. Callidium annulare was described based on a single specimen from Thailand. Monné (2024a) reported that there are syntypes: “ Syntypes locality— Siam. (BMNH, ZMUK, Syntypes).” Tavakilian & Chevillotte reported that there is holotype. Zimsen (1964) listed: “ Callidium annulare Mant. Ins. I p. 156 · 59 “ Siam Mus. Dom. Banks”. Clytus annularis Syst. El. II 352 · 30 “in Siam Mus. D. Banks in India Mus. D. Lund”.—London 1 specimen. (Kiel 1 specimen [)].” However, the second specimen reported in Fabricius (1802) (not 1801 as cited in Tavakilian and Chevillotte 2023 —see date on Bousquet (2016)) was just a second specimen examined. Therefore, it is not a type, which makes the species described based on a single specimen currently deposited at the BMNH. Weber (1801) described Callidium bidens based on a single specimen from Sumatra ( Indonesia). Schönherr (1817) synonymized Callidium bidens with Clytus annularis .

Currently, it is known from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, Micronesia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, United States of America , and Brazil (Minas Gerais and São Paulo) ( Monné 2024a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023).

Material examined. BRAZIL, Mato Grosso do Sul (new state record): Batayporã , 22°18’00”S 53°15’98”W, 328 m, 1 female (MNRJ-ENT-47305), 13.X.2011, M.G.C. Pereira leg. ( MNRJ) .
