Remarks. This species was described based on syntypes, one male and one female, from Venezuela. Currently, it is known from Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, French Guiana, Brazil (Roraima, Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Rio Grande do Norte, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), Bolivia (La Paz and Santa Cruz), Paraguay, Argentina (Misiones, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, and Buenos Aires), and Uruguay ( Monné 2024b). Prosen (1947) recorded this species from the Argentinean province of Santiago del Estero, which is not listed in Monné (2024b); Zajciw (1968) recorded it from the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo, also not present in Monné (2024b); and Carrasco (1978) recorded it from Peru, not present in Monné (2024b).
Material examined. BRAZIL, Mato Grosso do Sul (new state record): Campo Grande , 1 male (MNRJ-ENT-47640), 27.IX.1977, R. Fenilli leg. ( MNRJ); Campo Grande, CNPGC [Centro Nacional de Pesquisas de Gado de Corte—EMBRAPA], 1 female (MNRJ-ENT-47641), 14.IX.1976, W.W. Koller leg. ( MNRJ) .
