( Fig. 110 E, F View FIGURE 110 )
Pseudosmittia catarinense Andersen, Saether et Mendes, 2010: 36 View in CoL View Cited Treatment . Material examined: BRAZIL: Santa Catarina State, Urubici, Morro da Igreja , cloud forest, 1822m a.s.l., Malaise trap, holotype male, 18.ix-5.xii.2004, L.C. Pinho & L.E. M. Bizzo (MZUSP).
Diagnostic characters: The male imago can be separated from other species of the genus by the combination of gonostylus furcate with secondary lobe shorter than main lobe; anal point narrow, sharply triangular with conspicuous microtrichia to apex; and median volsella composed of a single branch. The anal lobe of the wing is better developed than in other members of the subgroup. The accessory lobe of the inferior volsella is situated posterior to main lobe.
The species is described in detail in Andersen et al. (2010: 36). It is known from Santa Catarina State, Brazil.
