A species, closely allied to P. fortunatus MACHADO 1989 and P. fulvicollis DEJEAN 1831 , and widely distributed in the Afrotropical, Oriental and Australian Region, in the Palaearctic recorded from Egypt, Iran, Syria, Iran, Uttar Pradesh, and E-Asia (CATPAL 1: KOPECKÝ 2003: 275).
