Recorded from shelf, coastal waters and marine lagoons of Sakhalin (Okhotsk Sea) on sublittoral from 0 down to 90 m on various types of bottom (own data). The mass species in the catch of plankton nets in the coastal zone at a depth up to 30 m.
Outside of Sakhalin water area recorded from shallow waters (from low intertidal to 90 m) of northern Pacific, British Columbia, Alaska, Bering Sea, Sea of Okhotsk, Sea of Japan ( Gurjanova 1938, 1951, Kim & Hong 2014, Moore 1992).
