Remarks: The Chilean records of Physconelloides emersoni are from the coastal zone of Santiago in central Chile and from northern Chile, both from the nominate subspecies of the host. A sample from Ecuador recorded by Price et al. (1999: 204) is from Metriopelia melanoptera saturatior .
