Chimarra bidenta Pandher, Saini, & Parey 2014
( Figs 7–9 View FIGURES 7–9 ).
Chimarra bidenta Pandher, Saini, & Parey 2014 , 183
Chimarra larmol Malicky 2017 , NEW SYNONYM.
Redescription. Male genitalia ( Figs 7–9 View FIGURES 7–9 ). Most characters adequately described and illustrated by Pandher et al. (2014). Tergum X with sclerotized lateral lobes and separate projecting mesal lobes; each lateral lobe of tergum X in lateral view subquadrate, long, uniformly wide, without prominent sensilla, produced ventrally, in dorsal view uniformly wide, its outer margins slightly rounded apically, apex truncate, slightly shorter than mesal lobes; each mesal lobe of tergum X directed dorsad basally, camel-neck-like, with apex directed posterad in lateral view; in dorsal view with broad base, narrow and twisted medially, outer margin with irregular undulations, apex blunt.
Remarks. This species was described by Pandher et al. 2014 from Uttarakhand. Pandher et al. 2014 (page 185, fig. 2) wrongly illustrated the dorsal view of this species. The shape of tergum X is better characterized in the above redescription and new Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7–9 .
Malicky (2017, page 1456, plate 3) described C. larmol from Nepal and in his notes compared it to C. bidenta . His illustration of the male genitalia of C. larmol , in lateral view, is virtually identical to that of C. bidenta Pandher et al. (2014, fig. 1). The phallic structure is also very similar in both of these species. We provide here illustrations of the phallus ( Figs 8, 9 View FIGURES 7–9 )—a description of the phallus was provided by Pandher et al. (2014). Furthermore, after re-illustration of the dorsal view of the male genitalia of C. bidenta ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7–9 ), it becomes evident that the dorsal view is also the same in both of these species. Hence, we conclude that they are the same species.
Distribution. India (Uttarakhand), Nepal.
