Genus Zopheromimus gen. nov.
Type species: Zopheromimus auriborussiensis sp. nov.
Derivatio nominis. The name of the new genus is a compound word and combines “ Zopherus ” (name of the type genus in the subfamily) and Greek “μῖμος”, “mimos” or in latinized form “mimus”, meaning “mimic”. The gender is masculine.
Remarks. The new genus is monotypic; therefore, the generic description overlaps considerably with that of the species.
