Material examined. Two records were made at Islas Marietas (CONABIO HJ011 ID 303, 304); three specimens from the Ixtapa region (CONABIO HJ011 ID 20, 42, and 53); one specimen around Isla Roqueta (CONABIO HJ011 ID 2151), and two specimens from La Manzanilla (CONABIO HJ011 ID 1521, 1522).
Remarks. This crab has a wide distribution from the Gulf of California to the Galápagos Islands (Villalobos- Hiriat et al. 1989). In the Mexican tropical Pacific waters, the species was recorded at Bahía Navidad (Álvarez del Castillo et al. 1992). Our study confirms its presence in the sampled area and provides new sites on the Mexican coast from Islas Marietas to the Huatulco region.
