Material examined. New records along the study area were collected at Tenacatita (19°16´N, 104°52´W) with one male (ICMyL MAZ 9370A) and one female (ICMyL MAZ 9370B), and at La Ensenada, in Caleta de Campos region, one male (ICMyL MAZ 9369A) and one female (ICMyL MAZ 9369B).

Remarks. This species is commensal on Pocillopora corals (Wicksten & Hendrickx 2003) and its range was documented as circumtropical (Wicksten 1983). In Mexican waters the northern-most site was recorded at Isla Carmen (26°02´N, 111°10´W) in the Loreto region (Hernández et al. 2009). Hermoso (1999) noted this species at Bahía Santiago as well in the Huatulco region. Our data confirm its distribution in two other areas of the Mexican tropical Pacific coast, as a commensal on coral.
