Material examined. One female was collected in Morros del Potosí (17 ° 31´N, 101 ° 29´W) (ICMyL MAZ 9307 A), three males (ICMyL MAZ 9308 A) and one female (ICMyL MAZ 9308 B) from Isla Roqueta. One ovigerous female from El Maguey (ICMyL MAZ 9309 A).
Remarks. This species has a wide range in the Eastern tropical Pacific from the Gulf of California to Peru (Villalobos-Hiriart et al. 1989). Our data confirms the presence of M. garthi at several sites in the sampled area.
