Material examined. One specimen observed (CONABIO HJ011 ID 170) at La Ensenada (18°04´N, 102°45´W) in Caleta de Campos region. Two specimens (CONABIO HJ011 ID 195, 196) at Pichilinguillo (18°11´N, 103°08´W).
Remarks. This species has a cosmopolitan distribution (Wicksten & Hendrickx 2003). In Mexican waters, it has been recorded as north as the Isla Coronado (26°06´N, 111°16´W) in the Loreto region by Hernández et al. (2009) and the southern site at Bahía Santiago (19°06´N, 104°22´W) by Hermoso (1999). The present record La Ensenada represents the southern site in mexican waters increasing about 220 km south from the previous data.
