Distribution in Iran. Generic records: Iran ( Kerimova & Huseynova 2014).
Distribution outside Iran. Caucasus, most of Europe, Siberia, Turkey ( Kerimova & Huseynova 2014), widespread and common in Europe and Asia ( Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Kazantsev 2011; Fanti 2014).
Remarks. This species occurs in the Caucasian region, and its presence in Iran is perhaps possible only near the border with Armenia and Azerbaijan. Introduced in North America ( Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Kazantsev 2011; Fanti 2014).
