Cantharis signata Faldermann, 1835: 186 . Locus typicus: not indicated but referable to Russia, Transcaucasia (Persico- Armeniaca).
haemorrhoidalis Fabricius, 1792 ( Cantharis ); inlimbatus Pic, 1902 ( Cantharis ); meziendi Marseul, 1864 ( Telephorus ); nivea Panzer, 1798 ( Cantharis ); rubens Marseul, 1864 ( Telephorus ); testacea Scopoli, 1763 ( Cantharis ).
Distribution in Iran. Guilan: Assalem between Hashtpar and Heroabad, 1,800 m ( Wittmer 1972). Hamadan: Nahavand, 34°14'N 48°14'E ( Samin et al. 2015). North Khorasan: Ala Dagh ( Horion 1953). Tehran: Abgarm, Damavand, 2,100-2,400 m ( Wittmer 1972). Generic records: Iran ( Gemminger & Harold 1869 [ Persia occ., as Telephorus lividus var. signatus Faldermann ]; Kaszab 1955 [ Persia]; Moscardini 1968 [ Persia], 1969 [ Horion 1953: Persia]; Delkeskamp 1977; Kazantsev 2004, 2011; Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Silkin 2008; Yildirim et al. 2011; Fanti 2014; Kerimova & Huseynova 2014; Koçak & Kemal 2015).
Distribution outside Iran. Algeria, Armenia, Central and Southern parts of Europe and European Russia, Great Britain, Lithuania, Turkey, Ukraine ( Kazantsev & Brancucci 2007; Yildirim et al. 2011).
