Distribution. Introduced. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: Santa Cruz.

Material examined. Galápagos: Santa Cruz: Academy Bay, lagoon, 1 kmE CDRS, 18.xi.2001, B.J. Sinclair (7 ♁, 3 ♀, CNC).

Remarks. This is a widespread species in both inland and marine littoral zone environments ( Mathis 1991).
