Libinia smithi Miers 1885: 591 View in CoL .

Libinia smithii Miers 1886: 73 , pl. IX, fig. 1.

Remarks. Miers (1885) originally used smithi as the epithet but later emended it to smithii (Miers 1886: 73) . According to Article 33.4 ( ICZN 1999) it is an incorrect subsequent spelling, but as this later spelling has been consistently used since, it can be retained under the rule for prevailing usage (Article 33.3.1, ICZN 1999). Rathbun (1925: 226) assigned L. smithii to Libidoclaea H. Milne Edwards & Lucas, 1842 .

Valid as Libidoclaea smithii (Miers, 1885) .
