Material examined. 1♂, LepsocAfrica CRG, Staude et al. (2016), M789, Gelechiidae reared on Trichilia emetica , Meliaceae, Casketts farm, South Africa, Limpopo, Hoedspruit, 24˚20’36’’S, 31˚09’07’’E, 18.v.2014 eclosed (A. & I. Sharp) (gen. slide 139/19, O. Bidzilya) ( HSS).
Biology. The larva was observed feeding on Trichilia emetica (Meliaceae) in April. Adult emerged 18.v ( Staude et al. 2016: 63, 64).
Distribution. South Africa (new record), Mozambique ( Meyrick 1931), Uganda ( Bradley 1965: 99).
