Type material examined. 2 exx. Syntype (NHM): card-mounted, “3421” [in Broun’s hand], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Hump Ridge. \ Okaka 3500 ft.” [in Broun’s hand], “ Mesocyphon \ vestitus ” [in Broun’s hand]. Syntype (NHM): ventrally card-mounted, “3421” [in Broun’s hand], “Hump R. \ 3500’ \ 28.12.10 ” [handwritten], “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “ Mesocyphon \ vestitus ” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Broun (1914a) studied two specimens collected from Hump Ridge at 3500 ft by A. Philpott.
