Remarks. According to Sharp (1878), a few specimens were found by T. Broun on Cyathea dealbata at Tairua. Figures of the penis and tegmen published in Nyholm (1972) were wrongly attributed to C. oscillans but actually belong to an undescribed species (Nyholm 2000).

Remarks. Cyphon molestus was described from a single specimen collected from Queenstown, Otago, and sent to Broun by Hutton (Broun 1883).
