Bredana complicata Gertsch, 1936: 21 View in CoL (male holotype from Weslaco [26.17°N, 97.99°W], Llano Grande, Texas, United States of America, 27.IV.1934, S. Mulaik, deposited in AMNH, examined); World Spider Catalog 2017. GoogleMaps

Other material examined. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA: Texas: Hidalgo County, Bentsen R.G.V.S.P. (site 1) (26.17830°N, 98.38577°W), LF Trap, cedar elm forest: 1♂ and 1♀, 14.VIII‒5.IX.2008, J. King & E. Riley leg. ( FSCA) GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. The males resemble those of H. andalgalaensis and H. tremembe sp. nov. by the shape of embolus (see Figs 15C View FIGURE 15 , 17D‒17E View FIGURE17 and Galiano 1976b: figs 43, 44), but differ from all the species of the genus by the complexity of the tip of the embolus. Females resemble those of H. mesopotamica in having five coils, but differ by having a more sclerotized epigyne ( Fig. 15D View FIGURE 15 ).

Description. See Gertsch (1936).

Distribution. Known only from the USA ( Gertsch 1936, World Spider Catalog 2017).
