Upper body with a checkered appearance ( Fig. 7G View Fig ); nape with a light, anteriorly curved cross band, with a brown cross band adjoining in the front and rear; sides of ventrals may be darkened ( Fig. 7G View Fig ); upper body scales keeled, except for the outermost row and the four scale rows lateral to vertebral scales over nuchal glands; anal scale divided.
