Synonymy. Name proposed as a junior synonym (“ nomen novum ”), as a replacement name for Telmatobius asper Boulenger, 1907 (preoccupied by Cycloramphus asper Werner, 1899 ). Synonymized with Cycloramphus asper Werner, 1899 by Heyer (1983: 289).
