Type locality: Kyzylorda, Kyzylorda Province ( Kazakhstan).

Published (original) locality: corresponds to data on the holotype label (see below).

Holotype: ♂, Перовск, Сыр-Дар.[ьинскаЯ] о.[бласть] [ Kazakhstan, Kyzylorda Province , Perovsk (=Kyzy- lorda), 44°51’N 65°31’E], 15. V.[1]928, Н. Оленев, В. Попов [N. Olenev & V. Popov leg.] // Holotypus Sphecodes pesenkoi Astafurova et Proshchalykin, 2018 <red label> // Zoological Institute St. Petersburg INS_HYM_ 0000172 .

Paratype: ♂, the same label as in the holotype.

Current status. Sphecodes pesenkoi Astafurova & Proshchalykin, 2018 .

Remark. Female unknown.

Distribution. Only known from the type locality in Kazakhstan.
