Notes

A green algae that forms somewhat encrusting, hollow or solid, globose or flattened thalli made of vesicular segments (pseudoparenchymatous cushion of polygonal cells). They are attached to the substratum by rhizoids produced by basal vesicles (Fig. 8 View Figure 8 ).
