Description

Habitus Fig. 13A, L View Fig .. 63mm. Dusky yellow, antennae and pubescence pale yellow. Eyes reduced to points, with a shallow transverse depression between them, width across 0.25mm. Antennomeres III–XI L. 0.30mm. Mentum and prementum chaetotaxy as in Fig. 6I View Fig . Pronotum L. 0.20mm, W. 0.31mm, lateral margins evenly rounded to rectangular hind angles, strongly bordered, the border continuing along the posterior margin ( Fig. 13B View Fig ). Elytra L. 0.34mm W. 0.35mm, truncate, chaetotaxy ( Fig. 13E View Fig ). Proventrum, mesocoxae adjacent. Mesoventrum ( Fig. 13D View Fig ), L. 0.13mm, reticulate, without pubescence. posterior margins broadly rounded at lateral corners. Metaventrum ( Fig. 13D View Fig ), L. 0.11mm, reticulate and sparsely pubescent, distance between metacoxae 0.10mm. ♀, spermatheca ( Fig. 13B View Fig ). ♂, not known.

Remarks: All specimens with eyes reduced to points and apterous.

Diagnosis: The form of the spermatheca distinguishes this species (but see remarks above re P. concinna , which has a form of spermatheca most similar to that in this species).

Etymology: Named after the likeness of the spermatheca to that of P. concinna Johnson.
