Material examined: LIBERIA: Bong county, Bong mine Dam 12, 29.–30.v.1989, at light, leg. Rolf Garms (1 ♂) .

Distribution: New for Liberia. Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko), Guinea, Ivory Coast.

Remark: Jeannel (1912) had keyed three species under the genus Macrospongus , and Villiers (1948) keyed three (two more were later synonymized) of the 11 known species ( Maldonado Capriles, 1990). Taken together, the present specimen unequivocally represents K. elegans .
