Biology.

The single specimen of this species was reared from Speocropia Poole01 Noctuidae feeding on mature leaves of Smilax spinosa ( Smilacaceae ).

Notes.

Known from a single specimen. Holotype is somewhat damaged, missing antennae.

Type material.

Holotype ♀: DHJPAR0028033 (ASHYE270-08), Costa Rica, Área de Conservación Guanacaste, Sector Del Oro, Quebrada Trigal, GPS: 11.02681, -85.49547, 290 m elevation, Lucia Ríos coll., reared from Speocropia Poole01 08-SRNP-21458, host collected 11 June 2008, wasp eclosed 8 July 2008, (EMUS).

Etymology.

Zelomorpha myricagaleae is named in honor of Myrica Gale Meierotto, cousin of SM and fierce competitor.
