Body light reddish-brown ( Fig. 124 View FIGURES 124–132 ) except clypeus, labrum, terminal antennomeres, narrow anterior margin of visible tergites II–IV, anterior margin of visible tergite V, larger part of anterior margin of visible tergites VI–VII, lateral part of visible sternites III–IV, larger part of posterior margin of visible sternite V, larger part of anterior margin of visible sternite VI and anterior margin of visible sternite VII, metaventrite except anterior part of its metaventral process and posterior margin of metaventrite and epimeral and episternal sclerites brown.

Head rectangular, longer than wide, ratio HW/HL: ♁ 0.77, ♀ 0.81, with deep U-shaped frontal median impression, which is evenly microsculptured with weakly visible fine punctures, dull; disc of head evenly microsculptured and finely punctate, dull; length of eyes ♁ 0.20, ♀ 0.27 of length of head; eyes slightly protuberant, temples narrowed behind eyes, convergent and concave posteriorly. Antennae short, scape ♁ 1.33x, ♀ 1.27x as long as wide and ♁ 2.18x, ♀ 2.09x as long as pedicel, pedicel ♁ 0.95x, ♀ 0.91x as wide as long, antennomere III: ♁ 1.50x, ♀ 1.33x, IV: ♁ 1.07x, ♀ 1.07x and V: ♁ 1.25x, ♀ 1.20x as long as wide, antennomeres X truncate, cone-shaped ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 102–108 ), terminal antennomeres slender and acute, ♁ 1.25x, ♀ 1.26x as long as scape, relative length of antennomeres from base to apex: ♁: 24: 11: 18: 14: 15: 16: 16: 15: 15: 14: 30, ♀: 23: 11: 16: 14: 15: 16: 15: 15: 14: 13: 29.

Pronotum ( Fig. 125 View FIGURES 124–132 ) rectangular, ratio PW/PL: ♁ 1.71, ♀ 1.66, with clearly concave anterior margin, anterior corners obtuse, lateral sides in anterior third widely rounded, in basal two thirds straight or slightly concave, subparallel posteriorly, basal corners rectangular, bearing microsculptured and unevenly punctate wide, shallow lateral impressions, pronotal disc more finely microsculptured, dense and unevenly punctate, tubercles well-defined; median line well-defined; in lateral view lateral margins in anterior half thick, in posterior half thin and broadly curved posteriad, lacking visible sharp edge; maximal pronotal width in posterior corners, here as wide as width of elytra at humeri; pronotum with macrosetae, anterior margin with about four macrosetae, lateral margins with about six macrosetae.

Anterior and lateral margins of metaventral process ( Fig. 130 View FIGURES 124–132 ) concave, metaventral process in anterior part with lateral, clearly anteriad convergent lines, anterior part lacking transversal elevation, in median line lacking roof-like elevation and posterior part in median line lacking lentil-like impression, metaventral process microsculptured and sparsely punctate; metaventral disc with wide, posterior shallow longitudinal impressions on lateral sides of median line, metaventrite microsculptured and densely punctate, with short setae not reaching margin of adjacent puncture.

Elytra finely punctate ( Fig. 126 View FIGURES 124–132 ), elytra ♁ 0.89x, ♀ 0.98 as long as pronotum, ratio EW/EL: ♁ 2.15, ♀ 2.09, anterior part with 10–12 and humeral part with one–three macrosetae, distance between punctures on disc 2–2.5x of diameter of puncture.

Abdomen with visible tergite II densely punctate and setaceous, visible tergites III–IV densely punctate and setaceous on posterior margin, anterior parts with fine and sparse puncturation, visible tergite V finely and sparsely punctate, posterior margin slightly densely punctate, visible tergites VI–VII sparsely punctate, lateral parts with more dense puncturation, with slightly larger diameter of puncture, visible tergites II, VI–VII evenly microsculptured, visible tergites III–V unevenly microsculptured.

Aedeagus ( Figs 127–128 View FIGURES 124–132 ) with robust median lobe, apical lobe tube-like and shorter than basal bulb, apex acute with scattered pseudopores, in lateral view ventral side slightly convex and apex sharp, lateral sides of apical lobe at apex slightly convergent in ventral view. Ventral protuberance on basal bulb subparallel, 3.4x as long as wide. Apical lobe of parameres at apex narrowed apically ( Fig. 131 View FIGURES 124–132 ), hook-like shaped and bent backwards, apex with about 3 setae and few scattered pseudopores, lacking minute microsetae.

Spermatheca ( Fig. 132 View FIGURES 124–132 ) with apical part slightly shorter, 0.94x of length of basal part and 1.22x (in widest part) wider than basal extended part and 2.75x as long as wide, apical part subparallel or slightly narrowed apically, apex rounded. Variability of spermatheca: apical part always shorter, at most as long as basal part.

Differential diagnosis. L. strumosus is separated from L. dlabolai , L. dudkorum , L. fallax , L. reitteri , L. richteri , L. rossii , L. sibiricus , L. siculus , L. teres , L. zerchei and L. zeyai by posterior angles of the pronotum forming 90 degree angles and from L. dlabolai and L. reitteri by the larger size and bicoloured body. From L. folgaricus it differs by concave temples, by well-defined tubercles on the disc of the pronotum, by rounded apex of the apical part of the spermatheca and by lacking distinct tubercle on the transversal crest of the aedeagus. From L. penicillatus by shorter antennomeres and from L. primoricus and L. wellenii it differs by unicoloured pronotum.
