Holotype male with labels: (1) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Tibet Jilong Zongga / 19 84. VI.28 / collector Zhaoxing Yan ”; (2) handwritten on pink label: “ Pegohylemyia / vicariola / Fan sp.n.”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia vicariola ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegohylemyia / vicariola Fan / Zide Fan, 1985 ”.

Preservation: pinned. Missing parts: right wing.

Additional notes: Holotype collected at Zongga , Jilong County, Tibet.

Current name: Botanophila vicariola (Fan, 1987) .
