Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “ Tibet Amdo County / 1976. VII ”; (2) handwritten on white label: “10”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia pilosibucca / close to P. alatavensis ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila pilosibucca / (Zhong) ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on paper triangle; legs mounted on another paper triangle below.
Additional notes: Holotype collected by Hongbin Wang.
Current name: Botanophila pilosibucca (Zhong, 1985) .
