60 Eryx jaculus View in CoL - The morphological characters of the Sicilian population resemble those of African populations ( ssp. jaculus ), but molecular studies are needed to confirm this hypothesis (Faraone et al., 2019). According to Tokar (1991) the species is monotypic.
