Generitype of Gnetum Linnaeus.

Current name: Gnetum gnemon L. ( Gnetaceae ).

Note: Merrill (in Interpret. Rumph. Herb. Amb.: 77. 1917) discussed the Rumphius plates but did not designate a type.
