DISCUSSION. According to Mocsáry (1909), A. fulvicorniswas based on 11 Ƥ.As already noted by Taeger (1988a), not 11 but 12 Ƥ of fulvicorniswere found in the HNHM collection. There is no reason to exclude any of these specimens from the typeseries of fulvicornis. The lectotypeof fulvicornis( Fig. 17) has sterna and terga 2 and 6 almost entirely black. The 11 specimensnow remaining (all labelled as paralectotypes) show a rather wide variation in the extent of the pale colouration: the antenna may become rather dark ( Fig. 18) and the abdomen much more extensively marked with yellow ( Fig. 19).
