( MZPW).   Etymology.The specific name refers to the Manaós,earlier inhabitants of the region of Manaus; noun in apposition.   Diagnosis.Males of  M. manaos  spec. nov.resemble those of  M. conduri  spec. nov.( Figs 138–141) by the palp with tibia bearing a small triangular retrodorsal projection ( Fig. 189). They are distinguished from the latter species by the RTA triangular and embolus lacking subdistal projection ( Figs 189–190) (RTA roughly S-shaped and embolus with short laminar subdistal projection in  M. conduri  spec. nov.). Females are unknown.   Description. Male (IBSP 6640, paratype):Total length 11.8. Prosoma 5.6 long, 5.4 wide. Opisthosoma 5.9 long, 3.2 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.41, 0.30, 0.25, 0.32; interdistances: 0.30, 0.12, 0.50, 0.48, 0.35, 0.20. Legs: I: 32.7 (8.9, 3.0, 9.0, 9.5, 2.3); II: 35.1 (9.6, 3.2, 9.8, 10.0, 2.5); III: 23.4 (7.0, 2.4, 6.0, 6.2, 1.8); IV: 27.4 (8.0, 2.5, 7.0, 7.8, 2.1). Spination follows the generic pattern except tibia III: d1-0-1; patella IV: p1, r1; femur IV: r0-1-1.
