Description, female.Body length 4.46 mm. Head and mesosoma black; wings subhyaline; metasoma castaneous. Head long. Mandible with five distal teeth, narrow, slightly angled, and step-shaped. Median clypeal lobe quadrate, short. Frons coriaceous; antennal scrobe ecarinate. Eye large. Frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute; ocelli small. Vertex strongly convex. Pronotal disc as long as wide, strongly coriaceous; transverse pronotal carina complete; posterior margin with posterior pronotal sulcus. Notaulus very narrow. Mesoscutellar disc with mesoscutellar sulcus narrow; posterior mesoscutellar sulcus present. Metapectal-propodeal disc long; metapostnotal median carina complete; longitudinal ridges absent; metapostnotal-propodeal suture straight; paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; metapleural carina present and conspicuous; metapectal-propodeal disc with short striae; propodeal declivity strigate. Mesopleuron with anterior fovea closed; mesopleural fovea closed; lower fovea closed; posterior fovea absent; mesopleural suture closed. Forewing with stigma developed; Rs&M vein distinguished. Mesotibia spinose; claws bifid. Metasomal segments densely setose. Genitalia.T9 with anterior arm long and overlapping 2vf; 1vv slightly longer than genitalia body; 2vv as long as 1vv length, smoothly narrowing apicad; 3vv short; 1vf slightly curved forward; 2vf slender and with dorsal lap strongly swollen posteriorly; 1rv not curved, ventral process small, and posterior process short; 2rv not curved.
Materialexamined. Holotype, ♀, BRAZIL, Amazonas, Manaus, Reserva1501, Km41, 03°06'S 60°01'W, 15–20.vii.1995, arm[adilha] suspensa ( INPA).
Distribution. Brazil: Amazonas.
Remarks.This new species differs from A. albistigmusby having the head almost rectangular; the mandible step-shaped; the clypeus projected and rounded; the clypeal carina angled; the eye small; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle acute; the ocelli small; the vertex strongly convex; the paraspiracular carina present and conspicuous; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea closed and not divided; the mesotibia spinose; the 1vv slightly longer than genitalia body; and the 1rv not curved, and with the ventral process small, whereas A. albistigmushas the head wide; the mandible with the two upper teeth wider than the others; the clypeus not projected and angulate; the clypeal carina arched; the eye large; the frontal angle of the ocellar triangle forming a right angle; the ocelli very small; the vertex convex; the paraspiracular carina present and inconspicuous; the mesopleuron with the lower fovea closed and divided; the mesotibia not spinose; the 1vv as long as the genitalia body; and the 1rv curved with the ventral process large.
