(Bienert 1869; Lederer 1871).   Remarks.Examination of the male genitalia of  E. frumentalisindicated that there were 8–14 moderate, pointed teeth on the ventral surface of gnathos ( Fig. 9F); while according to Goater (2005), almost four very short and blunt teeth were present in this area. This species was reported from Iran(Saret; an erroneous spelling of Ziarat in AlborzProv) by Bienert (1869) as  Botys frumentalisvar australis. Most of the specimens collected in Iranhave pale brown ground color except for those collected in Esfahanand SemnanProvinces which are darker. Although four subspecies for this species have been described ( Goater 2005; Nuss et al. 2003–2017), considering the intraspecific variations, validity of these subspecies is questionable. See above for more information about these intraspecific variations and the closely allied species of  E. frumentalis. 1844469220 [151,1188,1949,1974] 1968-11-03 HMIM Arghand Iran Moghan Material 18 19 1 1 Ardebil 1844469231 1975-06-06 Abai Iran Azarbaijan-e Gharbi Prov. 18 19 1 1 Ardebil 1844469243 [451,1366,151,176] 1974-06-14 Damanabi Azarbaijan-e Sharghi Prov. 19 20 1 1 1844469230 [717,1310,260,285] 1974-05-22 Anonymous Evin 19 20 1 1 Tehran 1844469224 1975-06-03 H.
