        <spm:hasContent>  Discussion:—  Euphorbia louwiiis known from a small area around the hamlet of Marken, north-east of the Waterberg in Limpopo Province, South Africa. It is most easily distinguished from the other members of the  E. schinzii-complex by the 5- to 7-angled branches and the considerably longer and more slender leaf-rudiments. Five spines and prickles per spine-shield is typical of  E. louwiiand is also found occasionally in  E. aeruginosa. The two also share a very similar colour of the branches and spine-shields, though the pale streak between the angles in  E. louwiiis missing in  E. aeruginosa.</spm:hasContent>
