Redescriptions given in the literature under this name have been confirmed to represent or could represent different species ( Chant & McMurtry 2004a; 2007). A redescription of the specimens of Berlese (1916b)has not been possible because of the conditions of the specimens on the slides ( Chant & McMurtry 2004a).
