High infestation causing chlorosis, curling of leaves, light rusting and reduction of leaf limbs ( Damasceno & Navia 2009).   Remarks.Only known from the typehost/locality. It is usual to find  P. giustoliniiin areas infested by the cassava green mite,  Mononychellus tanajoa(Tetranychidae).
