We doubt if  E. panis present in the Guianas, especially since we are also unaware of any records from Venezuela. It would be interesting to see if the old record from Guyanain Erichson (1848: 561)and the specimens identified as  E. panfound in Brazilnorth of the Amazon River actually belong to this species, or if they are also misidentified  E. endymion. Because of the current identification of the specimens from the Brazilian part of the research area, we regard  E. panas potentially occurring in the Guianas.
