Hessler, C. L. Van Dover, S. Ohta and the Emperor of Japan. Martin et al.(1998b)examined the carpal cleaning brush of this species in comparison with that of other vent shrimp species. The feeding biology of this species has been discussed in several papers ( Casanova et al., 1993; Segonzac et al., 1993; Gebruk et al., 2000b).
