Twenty seven new species of Orthocentrus (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae; Orthocentrinae) with a key to the Neotropical species of the genus Veijalainen, Anu Broad, Gavin R. Sääksjärvi, Ilari E. Zootaxa 2014 3768 3 201 252 Veijalainen Veijalainen [151,527,1268,1294] Insecta Ichneumonidae Orthocentrus Animalia Hymenoptera 12 213 Arthropoda species teres sp. nov.   Male. Unknown.   Biology.Hosts unknown. Both specimens were collected in Peruvian Amazonian lowland rain forests.   Etymology.Named after the Latin for ‘polished’, with particular reference to the polished metasoma.   Comments.Compared to congeners, this is a distinctly dark and polished species; it can be separated from other species with antennae on a high shelf and glabrous eyes by the face not laterally distinctly flattened (unlike in  O. anguillae,  O. concrispus,  O. pentagonum, and  O. shieldsi), and the first tergite is polished and unsculptured (unlike in  O. quercusand  O. scurra).   Material examined. Holotypefemale: ‘ Peru, Loreto, Rio Sucusari, Rio Napo, Explornapo Camp, 3º15’S, 72º55’W, 100 m, 2 Jun 1992, hand coll./sweeping, T.L.
