JWPC); Sight record, Hong Kong, Lantau, Tai Long Wan, 30.vii.98. Biology: Imago found June to July. It can still be locally common on pristine beaches in the summer months. Amazingly it can be seen at midday, with cloudless skies, running on the extremely hot sand.
