Calochroa flavomaculata( Hope, 1831) There are no recent records of this very distinctive species in Hong Kong. It was apparently listed by Andrewes (1930)and subsequently listed as occurring in Hong Kongby Wiesner (1992), Puchkov & Matalin (2003), Wiesner (2004), Sawada & Wiesner (2006b), Shook & Wiesner (2006)and Wiesner (2008). Sawada & Wiesner (2004)and Wiesner (2013a)have the subspecies C. flavomaculata flavomaculata( Hope, 1831)as occurring in Hong Kong. It may well be that Andrewes (1930)listed it in confusion with the similarily named Cosmodela aurulenta flavomaculataChevrolat. Calochroa interruptofasciata interruptofasciata( Schmidt-Göebel, 1846) A junior synonym of the flavolineataform of this species, Cicindela ditissima Bates 1872was described from Hong Kongspecimens and is listed as occurring here by Demoor (1886). Listed as occurring in Hong Kongby Gestro (1893), Fleutiaux (1893), Dover & Ribeiro (1923; as the form flavolineata), Horn (1930), Fowler (1912), Wiesner (1992), Hua (2002), Puchkov & Matalin (2003)and Shook & Wiesner (2006). Biology: There are still occasional recent records of this species, though it must generally be uncommon or rare. Mell (1931)noted only one record for Guangdong province in mid July at 350 maltitude.
