Immature stages of this species develop in bamboo internodes ( Prado 1935; Heinemann & Belkin 1979) where they were found associated with Cx.(  Car.)  iridescens, Sa.( Pey.)  aurescens,  Shannoniana fluviatilis( Theobald, 1903), a species of  Shannoniana,  Tr. pallidiventer,a species of  Toxorhynchites( Lynchiella)and a species of  Wyeomyia( Wyeomyia) ( Harbach 1994). In the present study, one femalewas collected biting a human at ground level in forest in the daytime ( Coleção de Culicidae2023).  Arbovirus infection records. None.   Occurrence in Brazil.
