Body length 2.6 mm, fore wing length 3.5 mm. Head. Rather transverse in dorsal view, 2.1× as wide as long, distinctly wider than mesoscutum. Temple dull, coarsely punctate, distinctly constricted. Face relatively dull, coarsely and closely punctate, sparsely pubescent, inner margin of eyes subparallel, transverse, 0.8× as high as wide. Ocelli relatively large, distance between fore and a hind ocellus not longer than diameter of an ocellus, posterior imaginary tangent to fore ocellus a little transecting hind two ocelli, POL:OD:OOL=4.5:2.5:4.1. Antenna slightly shorter than body, penultimate antennomere cubic. Mesosoma. Length:breadth:height=49.0:33.0:35.0. Disc of mesonotum relatively dull, with close punctures, interspaces smaller than diameter of punctures, especially along imaginary course of the notaulices. Scutellar sulcus nearly straight, relative narrow and shallow with carinae in between. Scutellum shiny, polished with indistinct punctures all over. Propodeum shiny, coarsely punctate anterior-laterally, middle part polished, posterallateral field polished with a few carinae, slightly rugose over orifice. Mesopleuron highly polished, with relatively heavy punctures anteriorly.   FIGURE 6.  Dolichogenidea brevifacialisLiu & Chen,  sp. n.apropodeum; bfore wing; chabitus, lateral view; dhead, frontal view; ehead, dorsal view; fantenna; gmesonotum and scutellum; hhind wing; iT1–3. Scale line = 0.5 mm. Legs. Spines on outer side of hind tibia dispersed. Inner spur of hind tibia half length of hind basitarsus, outer spur slightly shorter (2/5). Basitarsus of hind leg as long as tarsomeres 2–4 combined. Wings. Pterostigma small, 2.8× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 (metacarp) 1.3× longer than pterostigma, 4.3× as long as its distance from the apex of the marginal cell. Vein r arisingfrom middle of pterostigma, as long as width of pterostigma, vein r almostas long as vein 2-SR, distinctly angled at their meeting, vein 2-M 2/3 length of vein 2-SR. 1 st discalcell 1.3× wider than high. 1 st submarginalcell of hind wing 1.9× wider than high. Vein cu-a curved. Metasoma. Distinctly shorter than thorax (38.0:49.0). T1 parallel-sided, 1.7× longer than wide posteriorly, concave at basal third, turned-over part shiny, coarsely punctate laterally, weakly wrinkled posteriorly, distinctly concave and polished medially. T2 straight apically, 4.2× wider than long in the middle, finely wrinkled laterally. T3 1.4× longer than T2. Tergites after T1 shiny, polished, sparsely pubescent. Hypopygium not longer than apex of abdomen. Ovipositor sheath nearly as long as hind tibia. Colour. Body black, except tergites posterior to T2 yellowish brown. Tegula yellow. Spurs and palpi pale yellow. Labrum and mandible bright reddish yellow. Antenna and ovipositor sheath evenly brown. Legs bright reddish yellow, except fore and mid coxae dark red, hind coxa black and post third of hind tibia with hind tarsus fumous. Wing membrane hyaline, vein 1-R1, C+SC+R, r, 2-SR, 2-M and pterostigma brown, other veins yellowish, pterostigma with pale basal spot.  Variation.
